    Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a plugin (that they've actually used) on changing permalink structures to either:
    a) Leave proper forwards from the old structure to the new
    or preferably:
    b) Leave all of the existing posts as the old structure and just set future posts to the new structure

    Thanks in advance,

I believe when you change the structure, the old permalinks forward visitors to the new addresses. You may want to verify this before trying it.

I used Dean's Permalink Migration in the past and it worked well. However, I don't think you need a plug in for that anymore if you are talking about links within the same site.

In my own experience, changing permalinks will have really big changes on traffics, because all your older permalinks backlinks are changed, so it needs a while for Google to reindex new permalinks again.

I've also used Dean's Permalink Migration to safely change permalinks.
