I have found some info on this, but it didnt quite do what I wanted it to.

Say I have site, domain.com. I installed wordress and can get to the index page by domain.com/wordpress/wordpress

Now I know I can set the root domain, domain.com, to forward to domain.com/wordpress/wordpress, but I'd rather have the url in the address bar look like domain.com even if the user types in domain.com/wordpress/wordress. Anyone know how to do this? Is it possible? Thanks

Why don't you just move your WP files two levels up?

If you can't move the directory, try this:
    sitepoint.com/article/guide-url-rewriting

There are files of the same name that will be replaced if I do that. I will try the second solution.
