I want to know about the effects of SERP & PR, when the domain name permanently change, old domain has a good SERP and PR 6, and new one was registered recently.

PS: I use permanent 302 redirect in the web server for redirecting to the new domain name.

The proper redirect solution is 301 permanent redirect and not 302 temporarily redirect. I want to clarify this first after reading your post.

Back to the topic - 301 Redirect can help you transfer all PR and link popularity from the old domain to a new one. However, you should be aware this is not a magic bullet solution. It would take times before everything settled. It could be hardly to estimiate but not less than 1 month anyway.

Please make sure you have transfered properly, including all inner pages - page by page. You should beware of 404 Not Found after the transfer completed. Many 404 pages could make your site degraded in Google perspectve, plus harm your site ranking either.

Thank you for advices, sorry i made a mistake about 301 permanent.

So, If I change the category of site, the new domain wont get any advantage with this action.

No changing the category will not have any direct effect on the domain.

In my own experiences, you would lose some PR juices if you do deep linking strategies on your old domain. A 301 redirection would only keep the SEO efforts on homepage level, IMO. :)

    Thanks,
