I was using this cms for my website...everything was going smooth and then suddenly one day Google bot Stopped crawling my site and no sign of further crawls since then....i guess reason for this was frequent flipping of website themes which i did in past...anyone else has similar experience please share Does link building helps to come out of this situation.
I doubt this has to do anyting with frequent changing of the theme. I guess it will only matter unless you only have the theme on your site and no content. Irrespective of the theme you use the links and urls to the content pages remain the same. May be you want to try submitting the sitemap if you have't already done so?
I don't think you're guessing right simply because switching themes is not a valid reason not to index your site.
i have already made sitemap but no help...and there was no other reason like stated above which could lead to banning why i said this was i saw in one popular forum that how chaging layout has adverse effect
Could have adverse effect, like lesser ranking, if the new theme is less optimized than the old one, but not dropping from search engine. And changing theme is not a violation of google's webmaster guidelines, so it's not a valid reason for being banned. It's not because you can't think of another reason that it means it's because of the theme changing, life's not so simple
I just mean that changing a theme would unlikely result in your site dropped from google's index. Except if the theme had bad things included (like hidden keywords/links or really really bad coding)
All theme are standard genuine themes downloaded from drupal site. One reason i can guess on adverse effect of theme is Google must be pulling only the content data from a site and layout/theme/css will be used for longer once it was downloaded (Space constraint ) ..Now if you change the themes quickly that means more work for GoogleBot
Maybe you should add some new content, then create a sitemap using an online tool or Drupal's XML Sitemap module and submit this sitemap to Google using Google Webmaster's Tools. I doubt it has to do with the theme, but I'd be happy to take a look if you provide the URI.
Bots don’t really read the themes they mostly go through your html and content. I don’t think a theme would mess you up in google. How did you make your site map? Did you validate it? A lot of programs that make site maps auto suck and will put out bad maps sometimes that the bots can’t read.
