Is it possible to change what URL appear in the address bar of a browser. I have a wordpress installation installed in a sub folder. Eg mydomain.com/wordpress but I only want the browser to show mydomain.com/ without the sub directory.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Why don't you just place your wordpress folder contents in the root dir?

No, the contents of the wordpress folder. Everything that's in it. Place it in your root.

I think you just have to copy index.php and few other files / configuration to make it work and show properly (instead of copying entire content) and edit index.php to pick information (includes) from sub-directory.

Don't see need to install all over, however if there is nothing in there as yet, and a new blog, go ahead and install afresh and save yourself from the trouble of troubleshooting!
