I dont want people to see the title of my site as that, no wonder im not getting much traffic! I want it to be changed to choose abstinence with a catchy description below so people will click google search and enter my site!

You should go ahead and change the description. If you wish, you can change the title as well. The key here is put you keywords in both title and description thats it.

Title: Keyword no.1, Keyword no.2 some other text at domainname.com
Description: Place your ads. Keyword no.1 some other text, keyword no.2 some other text. keyword no.3....keyword no.4 some other text.

This is just an example. The idea is your keywords should be in title and description for which you are getting ranks and doing good. Give prominence to them as much as you can without over doing it.

If I do that, wont I have to remove the AD shown at the very top of my website and webpages?

Are you getting ranks and then traffic from "Your Ad HereYour Ad Here." ?? If yes then keep it and not then no use of having them. Put your keywords.

Also, I don't understand why you are talking about removing ads on webpages?? You are talking about title and description only. Make title and description according to your keywords and keywords must be according to content on webpages and NOT vice versa.

I have plenty of keywords on my website. Why did the google search engine choose "your AD here" instead of any other word my website contains?

Well, Its google pleasure. But If you have title and description then chances are very high that search results will show them. Still, google can pick up whatever text it likes.
