    Hi

I have a good domain for some time and many of the pages are well indexed in Google. But now I am changing the site content.
So, shall I remove all the index pages using google webmaster tool? Or just htaccess redirect all pages to new homepage?
Or is there any SEO friendly way of doing that?

    Thanks

I wouldn't remove the pages, you can use the <div> onmouse over redirect to redirect them to different pages. Create a new sitemap with the new content pages and remove old ones from there.

.htaccess is never friendly in my experience.

No. Keep the page where they are and just change the content. Then when you are done, create a new XML Sitemap and submit it to Google via the Webmaster Tools application. The page rank will stay, the links will stay but the content will be indexed.

I wouldn't change the URLs if it's possible...just change out the content. But if you have to change the URLs then make sure you 301 redirect old pages to the new ones. That way you won't lose any link juice.

I like what u saying. Once the new content is indexed then I could remove or redirect the old links?

When there are a lot of links you can't actually do individual 301 redirect. May need some other kind of redirect, I think??
