Changing server will affect PR?

    i want to move recently purchased blog to my server.
    somebody says, this will affect PR gained.
    is this true?
    what ways i can avoid this?

    If your moving from a non unique IP to a unique IP it will help.

    I don't think the pr will change after you change the server if you don't change the website structure.

    Well, i think that page rank of your blogs will not be increased if you put those blogs on another server.

    The only thing server change can do is affect SERP's due to the Location of the server, a UK based server would produce better SERPs in Google.co.uk and a US server would be better for results in Google.com
    That's my understanding of it.

    Changing your server will not affect your PR I have done this quite a few times in the past.
