Changing server before pr update

    do you think it can harm your pr by changing host/server just before an update

    It could effect it actually.

    That is if you dont change DNS correctly and leave your site down for a week or so. :)

    yup, you need a quick move. like everything sould be done by 1 day. then i think it wouldn't affect anything. But keep in mind PR update around the corner, u never know when it happens:)

    Hey, just did a big move myself and like everyone is saying, do it is quick as possible. In my situation, I had the sites up and running on the new server BEFORE I changed the nameservers.

    Same here... I had silky move all directories to new
    seo hosting and it took him 2 days to make the changes
    then we just changed DNS and poooof... all done :D

    it could affect ur RANKING but not your PR, just make sure your new server is located in the same Country or even Area if possible.

    If you have done it yesterday i think its fine. It will not affacet your PR but may be a ranking. well only google knows..

    do ti quick and you will not be affected much. PR is according to domain not a host so dont worry.
