Changing permalinks

I tried doing everything and I can't change from the default permalinks! Is there something i can do with the htaccess file?

 

check your theme settings, you can change permalinks of the pages and posts you've made.

 

It won't link older posts to the new permalinks structure. it's driving me nuts!

 

Its really hard to do it, but I have recommend for you.
If your blog just indexed by search engine with old premalink, Just use 404 plugin to solved your problem. It will make 404 plugin not found get any content for example message to back to homepage or search article.
