Changing Permalinks in Wordpress

    Hi everyone,

    Ok... so I just did around 400, 301 redirects on all of my old URLS to my new wordpress site. Moved from Joomla to wordpress, and webmaster tools hit me with a ton of errors.

    I currently have the redirects pointing to the new WordPress URL's which are:
    Month and name (mysite.com/2014/09/sample-post/)

    I now want to categorize my posts and change the URL structure to include the category name. If I do so from the permalinks menu within WordPress will WordPress automatically 301 redirect this for me? Or would I need to go back and re-do all of my 301 redirects?

    Appreciate any advice.

    It will automatically redirect. No need to worry.
