Changing pages - SE penalization

    I have a page on one of my sites that has been up for 3 days. I want to change the links going to that page and change the page file name. I know google and others dont like you to change pages around but it has only been a few days. I have heard of the 301 redirect and tried it on another site, but I dont want to do this if I dont have to.

    You may want to take a look at your site in the major SEs to see if they've indexed your pages or not. If not, you may be able to just change the links. There's no guarantee, however, and it may create a situation where the SEs are linking to a nonexistent page. 301 redirects are your safest bet. :)
