Changing My Name? Worth It?

I'm 3 months into blogging over at YouthBusinessBlog.com and I'm really not liking the name. First of all, "business" is not relevant enough. Second of all, it's long. Thirdly, it has the word "blog" in it. And lastly, it uses "youth".

If I change my name, I'd change it to something like moneyforteens.com or teenmoney.net. I'd also like to start over, because I hate nasty "we've moved!" pages or URL redirection.

Is it worth it? Or should I stick with my current name?

I do not think so. But that is recommended to have the domain names you like and interested in. register them and redirect to main one

If the site is only 3 months then changing the domain should cause no problems. Just try not to use .net domains

You'd better change it since it's not very long for you to use that domain.Try your best to promote the new domain
at the first stage and soon everything will be OK.You can use redirection at the beginning.Soon, people will get
familiar with your new domain if you promote it well.

I have a friend that is a Teen at this moment and runs a great domain name blog but the domain name has 'teen' in it. He is graduating high school soon so obviously the name would be irrelevent in the long run. I suggest going with something more general than the word 'teen'.

One of my other friends had rebranded his blog after blogging for a year, all it takes is a simple perm redirect to the new URL from the old one along with a short post explaining what happened. It was a very smooth transition.

Also you are right the domain you are using kind of sucks. You can find get domains on the aftermarket that would suit you perfectly for under $100.

Maybe you actually have a strong domain? Maybe students research online business will find this and as it is a blog, they get new content once in a while? Never underestimate just how good small traffic can be.

Do not hesitate to pick a domain name even though it has - in it for example youth-point.com
If you want to change it , change it now before it becomes too late

I;ve actually begun to realize that I always have to stretch for content. It's just hard to write stuff anymore.

Thinking of switching topic, to about school.

I thought you do better keep this one. business is a very hot keyword. I have a home businee directory, and it bring me a lot of traffic.

IF you donot like this one. Just register a new one, and make an alias to your old one.
