changing my forum directory

    i'd like to change domain.com/smfforums to domain.com it self? :D

    can you tell me how please? or just send me to the tutorial link please :D

    Simply move your files out of the directory and move to your home directory. Then download repair_settings.php from here: http://download.simplemachines.org/?tools

    Upload it, and access it via your browser and just fix the URLs :) Should work.

    something else to consider, how many times have links to threads in your forum been posted in other threads? in other words, i start a thread on your forum and reference another thread, that reference will no longer work. you'll have to change all those as well.

    its not important actually as of now since the sites just up for a week. i followed the instructions and click a ll the recommended link in the repair_settings.php.
    after running the script, it gave me this error
    :D i'm not sure what i just did :D
    can you tell me please

    host

    make sure there all correct.

    what can i do with this?

    can i now delete the /forums installation in fantastico once the correct password dbname and etc? :D
