    from my experience, its a no, but yes like mike says it may affect your rank in search engines

    Actually before I change the page title the page was PR2 on google then after I changed then after few days it gone down to PR0...

    Then it might be the case the Google PR update is in process and you have added many internal link or outbound links on the home page of website.

    Do not care about PR - develop a title that your page will rank for and a title your user finds attracting... PR will come along

    Yeah I guess it could affect your ranking in a negative way. But the PR would come back if your page has quality content.

    Your SERP will be down but make sure your title tag should be effective and helpful to your business.

    think about traffic and search volumes of keywords.
