I am about to change my IP address where my sites are hosted, so My question is will I lose my serps if I change my IP address? Currently I am on a dedicated IP
As long as you don't change your registrant information for that domain, they should know that you still own that domain and are simply rehosting it. It shouldn't matter. This happens probably tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of times per day on the web. I would just try to make sure that you have absolutely NO downtime while making the move. I'd move an exact COPY of my site to the new host and have it completely ready before you change your DNS entrie(s). This way, regardless of whether the crawler gets the old IP because it hasn't propagated yet or the new IP, they STILL get back your page when they request your URL (and not some error). I would be interested to see how it goes... Let us know a week or two after the switch and being recrawled.
We just changed from one dedicated server to another, and it did not effect our page rank at all. If your site is down for too long whiloe propagating and a spider hits it, you may be effected that way.
The first year my site was up I had to change servers 3 times due to growth. The IP changed every time. It didn't affect the SERPs.
