Changing index pages for a yearly calendar

I have a website that shows users what is going on in their city throughout the year. Each date has a specific page in my site. I want my index page to be today's date and to change automatically everyday to that day's date. For instance, if today's date is January 1 2010,I want my index page to be my January 1 2010 page. Is there a way to program my site to switch the index page to one of my specifically dated web pages automatically?
