Changing Hosting for a Domain?

Hi, I used to have a hostgator account for one of my domains, but I want to switch it to a free hosting service. I deleted my host gator account (and go the confirmation via email), but when I try to add the domain to my new hosting service it says domain in use. Is there way to specifically remove the domain from the hostgator account? And yes the nameservers are changed (changed a few days ago)

Sometimes it can take up to 72 hours for DNS to propagate..Is it throwing something like "Error from park wrapper..."?

Well the 110mb error is "domain is already in use". I deleted the hostgator account with that domain yesterday, and got the confirmation today, but I had already changed the DNS like 5 days ago. Does that mean I have to wait 72 hours after deleting the hostgator account too?

No, once the nameservers have been changed at the registrar level, your domain no longer has anything to do with hostgator, so long as the domain didn't come free of charge from hostgator (free domain when you buy hosting)..

I would contact 110mb support, its possible they already have the domain in the config files, not allowing it to be added again.

You tried testing your domain with intodns.com? It should tell you which nameservers you have configured..

Wow, you were completely right! I checked and remembered that I had registered it wayyyyyyy back before I even had the hostgator account. Thanks a lot for your help! Rep+

DNS working just only need a few minutes.
