I have bought a domain goodkeyword.info and 7 months passed now it has lot of backlinks and about 400 articles it has at position 11 in google serp with "good keyword" and in many major keywords it is in top 20 ( it has 5k traffic) i dont know what i thougt when i buy info domain. now I see that goodkeyword.net can be bought. If i buy and change the extension to .net and make 301 redirection what will i loose or will i be in top ten in serp.
this domain has some income with google adsense
is there any body ever tried this and give me any recommendation.
    Thanks.

Personally I don't think it would be worth switching to the .net domain. You are already starting to get good rankings. So you probably shouldn't mess with a good thing. Technically you are supposed to be able to do a 301 redirect and transfer all the backlinks and rankings to the new domain. Usually you lose your rankings temporarily though. I just don't think you would gain much at all by making this change, but you would lost some traffic. Having a .net won't give you any kind of rankings boost over the .info. Just keep plugging away and you'll keep moving up in the rankings. Keep building backlinks on a regular basis with a variety of anchor texts.

nah. mate I would keep what you have.

maybe you could buy the .net start to develop it and when that becomes just as popular, start to transfer the traffic from the other site over.

that way you still have 1 site up with good ranking.

I too have same opinionlike vansterdam said. There is no need of a switch over to .net. may be that you feel 'hey, not much people are out there with .info and that makes you think of a swith over. Since your ranking and trffics is so high don't attempt to do that.
