Changing design

    If I change my site design but dont change any of the urls will it affect me much in SERPS?

    The only thing that will change is the template and where some links are located on my site, for example right now some links are on the main page but I wanna change that to myurl.com/newpage.php and have the links on there - The urls will stay EXACTLY the same tho.

    You should be fine as long as the tags/text/links & url's stay the same, your correct in changing your links to www.domain.com/page.html

    So what if I change the text on the page a bit? That will affect it badly Same with alt tags, I was planning on changing them (For the better) - If I did how much would that affect me?

    As I said it will be for the better so inthe long run it should help but I dont want to disappear from the SERPS for ages.

    As long as your not losing important keywords and improving them then that's fine, try not to get overly paranoid as it's easy to do.
