Hello, I would like to change the color of text on my adsense on my page. I was thinking just changing the #xxxxxx value in the line where it is defined for text. I know it is against the TOS tho change the code, but if I go throught the whole procedure of generating new ads all I will get is the same resoult at the end. What do you think, is it really so wrong if you just change the color in one line of code????? Would save me a lot of work.
It's probably not a big deal, but with G, you never know. I always regenerate the entire code.. it only takes a minute and it's not big deal for me.
Just changing the hex code isn't a big deal - nearly all publishers do that and I don't know anyone who has had problems. If you logged into your AdSense account and changed the colors you would generate the same code anyway. As always, if you feel you need an official opinion you can ask them.
I think there cannot be any problem with that. When they dont change the code they dont tamper with extra scripting.
Incorrect - it IS against the part of the TOS which states "Thou shalt not tinker with the code" ... The question is: Is violating the TOS in this way a big deal?
Picture it this way. How would Google know? I tested it and it's the same thing as you would regenerate the code. Shhh
It proberly does not really relate to the hex code part, I don't know but maybe there are things you can do with other parts of the code or something.
The thing to do is make sure you DO NOT make a typo. How many of us have forgotten a semicolon every now and then when coding? That's the surest way to tip them off is to introduce a bug into the adsense javascript.
