Hi there A designer designed a mascot for me, its a PSD file. The colour of background is white. I want to have another image or colour at background how can i do that any idea? (NOTE: The file i have in .PSD format so any changes in background layer or something background layer seems locked )
You can select the background layer and add a fill layer. If you have issues let me know. I can do it for you real fast. Nigel
You can unlock the layer by pressing the lock icon in the top left of the palette, or just double click the background to make it editable.
Add it as a new layer and then drag it to the bottom of your layers pallete so it is under the logo bits. EG: right above the background layer, below everything else. Nigel
if it's a PSD file and locked there should be a padlock icon in the layer of the background you'd like to edit you just need to click it to unlock it, but if it has been flatten then that's just too bad you'll need to use the Polygonal Lasso tool to cut out the background.
did you try to unlock the background image and teh njust change the color? if it'S the last layer you can only unlock it if there is another layer below it
Simply open this image in Adobe Photoshop and Jst click on layer window & chose backgroud layer from the bottom of the layer window after chosing it just chose bucket tool and select ur choice color and click on image it will be paste.
You could also make the image transparent by removing the background layer and saving it as PNG file.
