Changing a hight traffic site from .org to .net / This will affect Seo ?

    Hi

    I have a hight traffic site which recieve alot of visits from search engines .
    I want to change the domain from .org ( which have alot of backlinks ) to .net ( old but have less backlink ) . and I want to keep the .ORG domain redirected ( 301 redirect ) to my site .

    This will affect my traffic ?

    It will certainly affect your traffic. Whether it will affect it negatively or positively is hard to say with the information you have provided. You really need to supply more info.

    Generally the phrase 'if it ain't broken, don't fix it' is a good one to follow. Why are you trying to change the domain name if you're planning on keeping ownership of the old one?
