Hi, guys i just wanna know that , Does the change in server & ip adress effects your rankings?
Because yesterday i had changed my server & in turn my ip adress is also changed.I oberved that since yesterday traffic of my site is decreased sharply.Everyday my site gets new 50-60 registration but since yesterday not even a single user has joined my site.:(
I also fetched from google about server & ip change,It says "There is no effect of changing server & ip adress as far as your url's remain same".
My url's are yet same!so why google is not sending any traffic:confused:
This means my traffic was from google & now i think google has taken this server change otherwise.

can anyone plz help me in this issue , about what should i do get back on track?
    thanx in advance

    Hi,
It might affect for a few days/weeks - but sooner or later it will get back to it's old shape ;)

Dont worry No effect at all for SERP, PR or Backlinks. But make sure keep backup copy always with old server.
    Reduce downtime as much possible.

Rather No. It could be if your site is downtime for a week or more, cause of switching between hosting companies.

Just to let you know fundl, at the beginning of January, I moved server and IP as well. G traffic died, and hasn't recovered at all yet. Infact, I have also been given a penalty or filter through the course of it all as well. Watch your PR and see if it drops.

I have no advice for you right now....

switching servers and ip`s will not have much of an effect you need to look more into your stats and see what has caused a drop in traffic.

Changing server can't affect at all. Changing IP may affect SERP if old and new IPs are in different regions.

I think it can affect SERP onlyif the new server has slower connection and thus you have longer loading times. I think quality of the page in Google's eyes is affected by it's loading time / server speed.

I had a site for a very very low competition term. No one was really competing for it. I was winning on domain name alone. I dropped from first in google to 4th when I changed IPs and nothing else. Also, the pages that passed me hadn't changed either. It stayed that way for 3 weeks and then I went back to the top.

In short, I can't tell you how much it matters, my guess is only a little, but I am 100% sure changing IP matters at least a little bit.

it effecting your local ranking like Google.co.uk and Google.aus etc.
but if you wants to target Google.com it's effecting you for small time factor but you will got same SERPS in just time 15 days time. so it's just a matter of time don't worry dear.
