Changin links

My site mcnabs.com is a real estate site. We moved a few years ago and are now doing business in a different city in the same state. When I look at the just over 1000 back links, most of them have the wrong city in the anchor text and some of the links are not valid any more. I am working on getting the links changed with the site owners but how do I get Google to update them, as it appears Google has not scanned them in a long time. I was thinking of creating a page with all of these links on it and linking to it off my main page. That should get Google to look at all of these links and update them. Is this a good idea?

once the links are updated, build links to those backlinks like you said. google will follow those new links you build and find your main links, then update them.
