Hi all- Shopping.com unveiled a new site interface a couple of days ago, that appears to mark some changes to the program. I believe they weren't taking applications for quite some time, but have apparently opened it up again: https://partners.shopping.com/app One of the things I noticed right away, with this new interface, was that my revenue was cut in half! This is explained on this FAQ page: I hadn't noticed that before, because Shopping.com is one of my smallest revenue streams, and it really isn't on my radar. As my site grew, I pulled Shopping.com from my pages, because Amazon uses them, so it can drastically affect my Amazon revenue. Most of my earnings with this one site are CPA, and I don't want any CPC ads to hurt that revenue stream. However, it may well be a good choice for many of you, so I wanted to post this. After all, DP has been very helpful to me.
I didn't know they ever offered this program. I have a price comparison site and wouldn't want to loose my revenue from this. It works out that I earn more per click for some categories than what I would from shopping.com, but then with categories like Computers, Jewellery, etc that pay more in shopping.com it looks as if I may earn more from shopping.com than my site. I know that you can use the XML API feed, but would you be able to search for selected merchants and then grab the data just like a datafeed and dump it into your own database and then update it on a daily basis, or would this be against shopping.com's TOS. I would also want the product information to look apart of my site you see.
