Changed URL structure

    Hi,

    My Url structure before was like "Url/date/sample post" But now i have changed it to URL/sample-post/ . Will it affect my keyword ranking and what should i do to get that back ?

    Please expert respond fast

    I don't think that it will impact your rankings. However i suggest you that make sure the old URL redirects correctly to new one. You can use 301 redirect. I also suggest you to update your sitemap XML file and resubmit it on Google webmasters tools.

    It can be effect on your SEO ranking, you should redirect 301 your old URL on your new URL and check your Google Webmaster tool, and check error section, follow the step as Google say about your website.

    In my opinion it will not effect the Keyword ranking because you changed the URL structure according to SEO guidelines not the words so, it wont effect the ranking. If you have any query use the 301 redirect to the url.
