Changed my post title structure, Google gets angry

Previously I have this structure on my post titles:
Post Title - My Blog's title

    So for example:
iPod Nano Chromatic Review - Michael Aulia Technology & Reviews

I follow an SEO advice to change the structure to just put the post title instead. I changed them through the Platinum SEO plug-in. After a couple of days, my traffic went down drastically..

If you search for "ipod nano chromatic review", my blog usually came on the 2-3rd position. Now it's gone!

Did Google get angry because I changed my titles? Do I lose all the ranks, etc because of the title change?

If you want to rank for "Pod Nano Chromatic Review" it "should" be in the title tag of your homepage

^ not only in title tag but also put that keyword on your tags, or make a category for that.

I'm not asking about how to optimize the title tag or how to get on the first page.

I was wondering why my posts seem to go "missing" in Google after I changed all my post title structures (with the help of PLatnium SEO plug-in). Even if I use site:michaelaulia.com, I can only see some posts there... does it take a lot of time for Google to re-index after a post title was changed?

Never mess with the title tag, that's the seo advice you should have followed. This is the one mistake that eats your traffic because google doesn't like it. It's like changing the face of a person, so it's a different person now and google now needs to reassess your website to rank you appropriately. Not certain if you will go back to where you were before but it will take some time.

Just noticed the sitemap error on my Google Webmaster Tools:

"We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit."

Been trying to resubmit and email my hosting to make sure Google bots are not banned. Sitemap looks ok though (http://www.michaelaulia.com/blogs/sitemap.xml) *ugh*

Its normal for sites to move around in the results pages after a URL change. Depending on the age of the site, whether your submitting a site map to the search engines,,,, a lot of other stuff - that wil help determine how fast your site recovers.

One of my sites recovered within one week of a change, but it has been online for over 1 year and submits a sitemap every 24 hours directly to google.
