Changed my page Titles

For all my pages, I changed the titles to something completely different in order to optimize myself for a specific keyword.

MSN has spidered my site dozens times since, but on its search results it hasn't chagned the titles. How long might this take? thanks

From my experience, MSN is usually quite fast, I've seen changes in 24-36 hours after seeing the spider. Although, it seems lately that this has slowed a bit to more like 2-3 days although I still see the spider everyday.

Yahoo takes a bit longer maybe 3-5 days... and Google seems to be forever...for my sites a least, although I see Googlebot at least every other day if not more..

Again this is my experience with only manual checks and no real scientific analysis... :)

How long ago did you make the changes?

About 30 hours ago, so I guess it should happen soon. Yahoo's not indexing all my pages, only indexed the main one. This is bringing in little traffic from that one.

If you are seeing the spider frequently then I would give it a good day or two and you should see the changes.

I have seen changes take over two weeks to take effect.

Yes, the time MSN makes the changes are really inconsistent. I submitted three sites to MSN each got equal hits from MSNbot, yet one took nearly two weeks to get indexed. Strange I say.

Yes, I agree that a 'New' page or site will usually take longer but changing the content or meta of an existing (already indexed) page will generally be quickly updated. Otherwise, you would not be able to search for current news events, etc..

Yeah, I agree. MSN is usually the fastest. Oddly, Y seems to put up the new page, and then back down to an old version for a while.
