Changed my design... what now? Please help me decide

Hi, im fuser and as we are very close to another google pagerank update, i decided to modify and refresh my directory design. Im expecting a PR5 so i wanted to improve the design.

    The url is www.sc4m.com

The stripped search box is from the old design and the menu below is new. Should i adapt the search box to the new design? As you can see, in the low right of the menu, a box is missing. Should i leave it like that or not? I thought of maybe puting a box with the prices of the links or maybe making it an advertising space... Last month i got 13k uniques so that could work right?...even more if i get a PR5 because the traffic would also increase..

    Well, thats it

    Thanks everybody for the help,

    fuser

Just for your notes, Google takes a snapshot and determines PR a couple of weeks before it is sent out, so Google would have taken a snap shot of the old design.
If your not bothered about this, then I think your site is lovely how it is now.

    I like it.

    -Nice domain
    -Good web 2.0
-Doesn't look like your very day directory (which is good)

However the site is taking longer than most sites take to load on my comp.

I might like to see the SC4M.com navigation bar go 100% across the top of the screen. There is a lot of dead space. For me it is to much white, but overall I like the look.

I'd personally change the font/color of the footer. It also seems to load slowly for me, overall however I really dig the look of the site.

I really like your design. I am a big fan of pretty buttons like you have for the menu. As for the missing box I would make that a "Submit site" button with a different color or shade to make it stand out from the actual categories.

Also I assume it was intentional to make the domain look like "SCAM" but I am not sure why.

Yepp, this is a good looking directory, fun that it does not follow the ordinary in-the-box-design!
    Keep up the good work!

I like it overall although the design starts low down on the page so you're wasting valuable space.

Oh, and I submitted my URL!

Yeah it's very much annoying and very much unprofessional because it is OPENING IN NEW WINDOW . maybe keep your link opening in the same window.

    I agree that there's a great web2.0 feel!
Maybe some kind of a:hover effect on the buttons would make it feel more interactive.
I'm sure you've done some testing with this, but I personally wouldn't put those "premium links" where you have them. If they're premium links, why aren't the in a more prominent position where you don't have to scroll to find them?

hmm, the missing box seems to be an invitation for some advertisement.

Looks decent for a directory. Most directories just keep the default theme their script came with.
