Tried writing to DP a week ago, but no response yet - I know they must be busy.

I have the forum username Azam.com. I have sold the domain name (got an offer I could not resist!) and was wondering if you could change it to Azam.biz please.

It is the first and only time I will ever change the username. I have been a member of other webmaster forums for seven years and never once changed my name.

Thank you for help and understanding :)

Congrats on the sale Azam, that was quite an offer and worth cashing in on, pity the details had to remain a secret but I am sure you'll enjoy the spoils.

Thank you for your kind words. I shouldn't really reveal the figure, but lets just say I got the price of an apartment in many countries, so I'm rather pleased. However, at least 1000 sources to provide new email addresses to, plus change my bank account name, stationary etc. etc. so lots of work :(

I've checked my sig. and I am using azam.biz for the links. I own many of the other azam TLDs such as .biz, .info. us etc. From your experience/know-how do you think there is a danger that I will lose traffic to azam.com - which I no longer own - if I create sites on azam.us, azam.info etc.? I can stomach losing 0.2% but not, say, 2%.

Have studies been done to demonstrate how many people inadvertently type the .com of a .biz or .info site?

Yep high $xx,xxx from memory although the details were to be kept private as per the buyers request in the contract. There are many unusual domains that can command a premium, especially if someone wants it bad enough.

Congratulations! You are really lucky that you sold domain in good price. Actually, four letter domains are in real demand, especially if somebody needs that badly. But its almost impossible to get a 4 letter domain now a days.
