Change url of the sitemap

    Hi,

    I have a wordpress website and I wanted to know as to how to change the URL of the sitemap.

    If my website is www.xxxxxx.com/sitemap.xml

    I want to shift my sitemap url to something different like www.xxxxx.com/asdfasdf.xml or whatever

    How to do this ??

    Also, once I enter the cpanel of my hosting account, I find everything alien there. I want to learn in general about FTP, Parked domain vs etc etc

    Where can I do that too. Thnx.

    You will have to recreate the sitemap

    I did that. I am using Wordpress XML plugin which automatically creates it, but how to change the URL now??

    If the new link is working then you can manually create the sitemap without the help of the plugin and upload it at the root directory. See if this works. If done properly the link should work fine and you should be able to see your sitemap by visiting this URL.
