Change URL from http://example/blog to http://example.com without to move content

Hi, to all wordpress user:

I would like to ask on how to change the URL from http://example/blog to http://example.com.

I try several time but ended up error. I know in involve index.php, etc.

Yes, it involves index.php.

but I still can't remember how previously I change ://example/blog to ://example.com without to move all the contents to root folder.

anyway.. it's good as no more /blog when people click my website.
