We finally got the .com version of our domain name and thought of swapping to the new one. Our current site has a PR 5 and the other one has a PR 4.

I was just wondering if you had any tips on how it would be best to deal with this situation. Should we just start advertising with .com and just have the old .org domain to forward to .com? Should we slowly transfer, making links to both sites and just alternate between them, or keep on with the old one?

According to whois.sc, the .com has a larger "SEO Score" value than ours current domain whatever that means.

    Thank you :)

If you want to use the .com move everything over and do a 301 redirect.

Everything will work itself out just fine. :)

Quite frankly I don't get this whole I have to have a .com of domain thing. Any other domain is just as affective, granted there are some special ones like .gov but a domain is a domain. I'd suggest you 301 the .com one to the .org just to maintain your user base without them having to get used to the new domain.

    Thank you
