    Hello,

go to the category where your site is listed an use "Update listing"

Please, do this update for reasonable changes.

    Regards

Go to the page where your site is listed and hit the "update listing" button at the top of the screen. :)

The only drawback for you is that we may or may not grant your request. Titles and descriptions are written according to our own guidelines for our own purposes. They can be found here:
    http://www.dmoz.org/guidelines/describing.html

We attempt to speak to the web surfer and describe what the site is, and what content can be found on it so the web surfer can decide whether they want to visit it or not. Titles and descriptions for SEO purposes are something we don't do or want.

There's no way to give you a time, we get many update requests, but they do stand out seperately for editors, are easy to decide about, so are given priority. They're handled fairly quickly.

Not lost, no. Sometimes a site that has been listed for quite awhile changes scope and no longer meets our needs (but that is pretty rare), and sometimes it might get moved to a more relative category (new categories get created as needed), but there's usually not a problem, and we do appreciate knowing about any changes to the site.

Most updates are for things like a title change, a new url, a little better description, the company has changed its focus or ownership, or there's a more fitting category available. We're happy to oblige when we can, :).
