Change/Re-write Mysql script to a lower version to fit my server

Hi, i bought this php script, but the script comes with a mysql version 4.1, and my server is only 4.0. Becuase of this, I haven't been able to run the script on my server.
I don't want to get a new host/server to run this script. Anyone knows how to rewrite or change the mysql on the script, so it cam run with my server?

 

What errors do you get ? Could you post the structure of the DB ?
