Hello, I own a website along with someone else. We originally put the adsense account in his name, though now it would be much more convenient to have the same account be in my name. Is this against TOS because it counts as transferring? Though as far as property goes, we both own the site. Thanks for your advice! Sam
I suspect changing from one personal name to another personal name with different address and tax information would indeed look like an account transfer to Adsense, which is against the policies. You could open an account in your name, then replace the code on your website with yours. It might make more sense for you two to set up a business with a tax ID, and have the Adsense account in the Business's name. We'd prefer not to officially set it up as a business since it is a very small site. I suppose we'll just have to live with the inconvenience. Thanks for the info, though!
