Change of AdSense on a website

I sent Google an email, asking them about changing of adsense Id on a website but it's almost been a week and I haven't received a reply from them (apart from that automated email) so, I thought I should ask you guys and wait some more to hear from Google.

Suppose that I buy a website that ranks high on search engine and gets a decent amount of traffic plus its Adsense earnings are also real good. Now, when I buy it and replace the adsense publisher ID with mine, there will be a suddent boss in my earnings and CTR. Can that result in getting my account banned because from what I have read, if your account shows unusual activity, they'll ban it and recovering from a ban is not easy (or so I have read)

If that is indeed the case, what should I do to avoid getting band? Should I drop them an email and notify them? If I do, am I out of the danger zone?

Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Zee

You can drop them an email if you want but as long as the traffic is good (ie organic) then google doesn't have any problems with your increased earnings

Yea but a little research on the internet tells that with a suddent boost in revenue, you are more likely to having your account banned. For instance, there was a case where a publisher advertised his website on T.V. and in return started to receive a lot of traffic resulting in a sudden increase in Adsense revenue. This lead to his account getting banned but well, he was able to deliver the proof and got his account back up and running again.

See, I don't want to get banned and that's why I sent them email too but like I said. It's almost been a week and I am yet to hear from them :s

Banning comes from a HUGE fluctuation, you don't plan on going from $10-100 a month to $10,000 do you? Otherwise don't worry about it. Not likely that it will cause any issues for you.
