Yesterday, I've changed my email address here so as to be alerted of any threads that I would get from my sales here. I have always been someone who reads documentations and so on but did not find any so I assumed that like any other Vbulletin board, if I change my email address, I will need to verify via email and the change would be automatic. There was nothing to indicate what I have to go through. Once I click on the verification, my account was locked, I cannot access my PM, I cannot post and no one could PM me because my PM was locked. It really makes me feel like I was a prisoner with very little rights. I believe that during that time, my change request was placed in the moderation queue and it took about 2 valuable hours before I gain control of my account and which time, I lost several opportunities. What is done probably cannot be undone. I was wondering if it is possible for the moderators and administrators of this board to include a one-liner text either in that email or at the change email address page that once verified, the account would be locked until an administrator verifies and unlocks it and provide an estimate timeframe for that to happen, it would indeed help prevent the hardship I had to endure not knowing when I would ever get my account back. I hope you would consider this. I checked the various documentations here and do not see this fact being mentioned. If I only knew, I would not have changed my email address until the period when I am not doing anything productive here.
You're account isn't locked, but you can't use PMs or post until you validate your new email address.
Well, actually it does feel like it is locked because PM and posting is pretty much what sets apart from a registered user and just a visitor. My point is, is it possible to just put a note to say that one cannot use the PM or Post during and after the Moderator validates the account. I know I validate the email address but it said that it is place on the Moderation Queue.
