    Hello guys,

One month before I created a personal blog but I didn't know what name I would like. I post content 1 or 2 every week and that's all. I haven't done any promotion or post on a forum etc

Yesterday I found an idea about a domain and I changed it. I thought that only a month without promotion wouldn't hurt my rank if I changed it.

After that I start using analytics and webmaster tools on my blog and I realise that with my previous domain I was on the first page of google for many keywords.

I didn't expect it without doing anything. Now, what will happend with those links and how many time will pass to come on first page my blog again?

when ever you are changing the domain name, you need to go for 301 redirect, so that you don't loose your trust and authority to the site,,,!

Contact your host and ask them to redirect the old domain to the new domain. This way you won't lose anything. For example, if you go to dogfood.com you will be re-directed to petsmat.com This is exactly what would should happen for your site as well.

    Thank you guys.

As I have changed the domain from my blog and I didn't create a new one I made a little trick. Please tell me if I am doing something wrong.

I create a new blog with the old domain, I import all the data from my regular blog and I use a meta tag to redirect to my new one.

The only problem is when I visit my blog from google search from older domain I go on main page on the new one even if I click on a subdomain.

Keep in mind, changing your domain may take up to 48 hours. Also, Google is probably only on your site twice a month. For the average website, there is not enough reason for Google to be on your site more than once every two weeks. Now websites like digitalpoint.com/ are always getting new content so Google is on this site at-least once a day.

It depends on the popularity of your site. If you get no visitors, it takes a long time until Google finally reads your domain to help bump you up on the search engine.

Like somebody already said, you need to 301 redirect the old domain to your new domain. That way, you don't lose any of your old traffic and rankings.

If you change your domain name, you may face some difficulties. Visitors must be reduced.
