I got an infraction for selling something for $5?

Change the minimum to $6 if you really must, its annoying saying $5 or too close to $5.....

So then what if someone wants to sell something for $6 and not post in the freebies section, change it to $7?

Is that ok if we change that to $10 minimum ??

Openions vary from person to person so we stick with current one.

All i can say is there is a sticky in BST

Anything $5.00 or Lower Belongs in the Freebies Forum

If you follow then no infraction. Its simple.

    Simple.
Just follow the rules , they work , so why change them?
    like the old quote.

5.99 and lower belong in the freebie section.

    There's your quick fix.

Posting $5.01 will not change our perception of the value. Clearly specify the value of your product or service in your title to avoid confusion (ie. "$5 per month--minimum two months", "$5 per year", "$5 permanent"). If we see a title that says "$2 Web Hosting", we will consider it to be a freebie, and move it to the Freebies forum. Moderators don't have the time to screen every thread and calculate total prices.

try and see what happens. :)

i actually read that thread about 3 times, I think the problem is people do not look in the freebies forum for links/anything, so the basic idea is, EVERYTHING MUST BE $5.50 OR MORE?

Anyway i see i'm not going to get any sort of reasoning besides $5 or more is good rule.

So if my thread title is selling 10,000 visits - $1 CPM woud that be put in freebies?

It isn't a good rule, but it is the best we can do under such circumstances. Unless our members are mature and sensible enough not to spam the forums. Until then we have to make do with what we have.
