Change auto publish to manual publish by Admin

I recently bought a site and im still learning how to do things. We are getting so much spam it isnt funny.

I deperately need to change it from Auto submission to manual acceptance before ads go live.

The site is http://www.australianfreeads.com/ and as you can see, you submit your ad and it sends you an email link, you click on that, it uploads your ad and goes immediately live.

What i want is for the submission process to take place, with the ad uploaded etc but NOT live, until i approve it.

There must be a workaround? Can it go up as a draft? Can it go into a different cat where it isnt seen until i approve and move it?

With 20-30 spam submissions per day, its driving me crazy checking constantly and i really need some sort of work around explained to me.

If you are using wordpress then change role of users from authors to contributors
