I was one of those surprised people when Matt Cutts announced that Google had changed the way it handles no-follow - especially that Google had changed it a long time ago. So I reacted and minimized the number of links I had on all of my pages to other internal pages. I removed my bottom link navigation and rationalized my main nav. I probably cut the number of links on my main pages in half. So what were the results. As soon as Google crawled my site, I received a huge boost in placement, as you usually see with fresh content. But after a couple of weeks, my placement went right back to the where it was before. I expected after my changes were no longer 'fresh' that I would see an adjustment, but I though that making such huge changes in my linking would have some impact. After the dust has settled, there is virtually no impact. So A couple of questions: 1. Does anyone have any useful comments? 2. Is it possible that when a page A has 2 links to page B, google only count one link? (when dividing out the link juice from A)
