Pretty disappointing. I tested out their Search With Guide - and looks that they always start with some bot guide (you can make it out from standard crap they say).
That's just a button they hit, or just automatic I'm sure. Just like when you get on HostGator live support, they give you the same welcome message every time, and the same goodbye message. But HostGator's support is great. Well, I had one negative ChaCha experience where a guide booted me off into a page about abuse. I was asking "what is the cause of wind?" And I've had at least two great experiences, where it would've been really hard to find the sort of thing using keywords and algorithms
I was invited to be a guide, but since I don't live in the US I have no interest (they pay guides) plus you have to download some guide stuff and sign an NDA or something like that. It's meant for people having difficulty searching or for the lazy, benefits are custom results.
i searched for webmaster blogs and the guide found digitalpoint and webmasterworld neither of which are blogs
some guides are not really specialize in the field they are assisting..i oncd ask about hosting stuff..they seem to not know what they are doing..my guess is some of the guides are just helping open lines to increase their earnings....that resulted in bad guided search results..
