Have anyone heard of this new search engine site? I just read where they are paying search guides $5 to $20 per hour. The site is www.chacha.com. It was posted on the wahm.com website.
I closed it after waiting for a minute. Let's face it, people want immediate results, they don't want to have to wait, or even have to talk to a "guide" and have to wait even more.
I read about it earlier. It was being launched today but wasn't going to Beta until sometime next year, whatever that means. It was described as part traditional search engine and part human powered search engine. So you could search using their saved searches or have some live person helping you out. It didn't sound to scalable kinda like those dot com era courier services.
oh ok, just wanted to make sure it was something legit since I saw the ad for the job. It is kind of slow though.
I kinda picture a large room in some outsourcing country filled with people Googling to find answers for chacha.com visitors.
I agree ... it is slow ... just hope the webmasters would fix it ... so that it could compete with google and yahoo ... i kinda like the name ... he he he
Its kind a of a cool idea, who knows where it will be in a year its not even in beta yet! I became a guide and its pretty fun... helping people with there searches paid me $0.58 for the help. If any one else is interested in being a guide I can invite you, Private message me your email and Ill send an invite!
