    Hi,

Im running a proxy server site using cgi proxy script.
But, it is eating up bandwidth like crazy.

I have heard of some people tweaking this script somehow so it doesnt use so much bandwidth/resources and also prevents people from leeching bandwidth somehow?

Does anyone know how to tweak this script or know where to find this out?

I am willing to pay if someone can help me out!

    Let me know!

Two simple things you could do is protect it via .htaccess (allow only certain users or IP addresses to access the script) and disable images. If images are on of course it is going to eat up a lot of bandwidth.

what script are you using? The jmarshall latest cgi script, you shouldn't be using, because it has javascript and many users can use it to download from services like rapidshare, so maybe you should downgrade to an older version.

You may be able to tweak the script for javascript, im not too sure tho.
    Just my $0.02
