I've got a bit of a problem......a ecommerce site has its product listings in the CGI-bin with really unfriendly urls. I don't know the virtue of building a site this way but internal pages are getting indexed but they have "No PageRank avaliable" which cannot be a good thing. I know Ebay use the a cgi subdomain, but I've only ever put form scripts in the CGI-bin. Can anyone particularly technical shead any light on this issue? Cheers
Search engines have problems with cgi in general, that was the original reason php was developed. CGI is not / never was search engine friendly. You can do the same and more with php.
