Does anyone know if there is a simple way to send cfmail type="html" to Blackberry users? I recently upgraded some dynamic (including form variables) cfmail to type="html" and included an image and formatting. Now the Blackberry users can't see anything at all. So either I return the cfmail to simple text or find another tag to incorporate the cfmail type as "Handheld Friendly"; similar to <META NAME="HandheldFriendly" content="True"> . I've researched some of the <cfmailparam... tags and have in fact used that to include the image...but the rest of it is lost on me. I can't get anything other than the image to resolve...and the Blackberry users can't even see that. Surely Adobe must realize that there are more people using handheld devices and they'd like to be able to view html based e-mail, right? Thanks
Found the solution at http://www.bennadel.com/blog/218-Tim-Cracked-The-GMail-CFMailPart-Puzzle-.htm using <CFMAILPART> tag: See example: <cfmail to="liz@campus-cutties.com" from="emy@campus-cutties.com" subject="Great Photo Shoot!"> <!--- Send rich formatted part. ---> <cfmailpart type="text/html"> Hey Em, you looked <strong>red hot</strong> sexy at the photo shoot today! </cfmailpart> <!--- Send plain text part. ---> <cfmailpart type="text/plain" wraptext="60"> Hey Em, you looked pretty at the photo shoot today! </cfmailpart> </cfmail>
