CF8 and SQL Server 2008

    Anyone got these 2 talking? CF 8.01 and SQL Server 2008 Express

    I followed the steps that I use to get SQL Express 2005 but to no result.

    Are you on a shared server? You may need to contact your host and ask them to add the database to the cf8 admin.

    Not sure about shared hosting issues but if you have full access try this:

    Run the: SQL Server Configuration Manager

    Expand SQL Server Network Configuration.

    Enable TCP/IP

    Right click TCP/IP, click Properties, select 'Ip Address's' tab

    Expand the "IPALL" section.

    The TCP Port is blank, change it to 1433.

    Apply and restart the SQL Services and it should work.
