I always feared something like this would happen. Yesterday when I was going to visit again the site as a guest, I saw it was closed down for Will Spencer was going to merge it into the other site he works on or maybe even owns. And now I wake up I see its gone, both links http://www.community-forums.net and http://www.admincommunity.com direct to net builders, here is the offical message: http://www.netbuilders.org/announcements-suggestions/admincommunity-merging-netbuilders-21846.html Close to 22 000 posts and 630+ members I think the site was. But pretty inactive. Now I really have to let go, its over the site is forgotten all my work is gone, its over. I wish the site would just remain its own and not became part of an other site, who actually doesn't need the content of AC. In my eyes Will Spencer merged it with NetBuilders because he could not get it active again or good working like when I, Tom and David worked on it. Or he had it just planned all along. A very smart thing, there was some great content on AC that is now NetBuilders content, well done I would say. I wonder what road the site would be on if I sold it to someone else or if David didn't sell it to this fool StepenM.
C-F/AC was a very nice forum, but too small now to survive on it's own. The merger brings breadth and depth to the conversations, which will benefit both communities. CF/AC isn't dead -- it is now an important part of something larger.
It was a great place indeed, there are several reasons why it was inactive or in a state of dekay. Anyway what done is done, congratulations. I hope the website you work on may profit from it.
NetBuilders is actually not a profit oriented site, hence the .org. It's purpose is to give people a low-noise environment to focus on earning money on the 'net. The Internet has been good to me and now it's my turn to give back.
Ha lol! I know what your saying. I shall join in some time to. Anyway I find it very noble of you that you kept Macster and mcstormify as staff and even as super mods on your site. You can probably reactive them if you sent the old members an e-mail. Mass e-mail I mean.
